Hello everyone! D.C. here, and I wanted to give you a quick update on the progress of my debut novel, "An Irish Mystery."
What is it about? In 1907, the Irish Crown Jewels were stolen from Dublin Castle and have never been seen again! This has been a passion project for me, and I'm incredibly excited to see it nearing completion.
Currently, the manuscript is in the hands of my wonderful editors, undergoing the crucial stages of proofreading and final polish. It's a nerve-wracking but exciting time! Seeing the story come to life in its final form is truly remarkable.
"An Irish Mystery" follows Cedric Newman and his team as they find themselves in a dangerous game of cat and mouse. They race to uncover the truth behind the stolen jewels and the betrayal that has haunted them for years. They must navigate a complex web of deception, danger, and intrigue, all while trying to stay one step ahead of their enemies.
They are up against powerful forces. They must use their wits, their skills, and their resources to outsmart their opponents and reclaim what is rightfully theirs.
The stakes are high, and the risks are real, but Cedric and his team are determined to see this through to the end. They will stop at nothing to clear Hans's name, who spent seven years in prison to recover the stolen jewels, and bring the criminals to justice.
I've been asked a lot about the research process for this book, and I'm planning to share more detailed insights in future blog posts. I'll cover everything from my inspiration to the historical research that informed the story.
