About me

"Hey there! I'm D.C. Salmon, the guy behind the Newman Adventure series. Yeah, I know, sounds a bit fancy, right? Truth is, I'm just a regular bloke from Cambridgeshire, with a bit of Gibraltarian spice thrown in thanks to my mum. I’m a Peterborough United diehard, an Edmonton Oilers fanatic, and when I'm not glued to a screen or a rink, you’ll find me coaching the local roller hockey team.

Here's the funny thing: I wasn't exactly a bookworm growing up. School wasn't my forte – let’s just say my English grades weren’t exactly stellar (Ds, baby!). But something changed when I hit adulthood. Books just clicked. Now, I'm obsessed, and I’m writing the kind of stories I love to read: fast-paced, intriguing mysteries about real lost treasures.

My first novel, "An Irish Mystery," part of the Newman Adventure series, dives headfirst into the legend of the stolen Irish Crown Jewels from Dublin Castle. Think historical mystery meets thrilling adventure. It's all about the thrill of the chase, the puzzle of the past, and the adrenaline rush of uncovering hidden secrets. I like to think I bring a ton of energy and animation to my writing, and I aim for a narrative that grabs you from the get-go.

I’m currently working on the fourth book in the series, and it's a wild ride. Each book is a piece of a bigger puzzle, and I'm having a blast weaving it all together.

So, if you're up for some high-octane adventures, if you love a good mystery, and if you don't mind a bit of hockey and football chat along the way, you're in the right place. I’m just a guy who loves telling stories, and I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing them.
